Photo Updates

Lauren is sleeping great most days.  Although lately she has taken to waking up rather early and is tired after breakfast.  We have been having to limit our driving in the car, or she is out like a light no matter what time of day.

Lauren loves her food and can often be found trying to raid the pantry for snacks.  She has become a very independent eater lately and must feed herself, have her own plate, and silverware, or she will object loudly.

Isn't that smile beautiful?  Lauren also loves to make others laugh and be the star of the show.

Lauren is obsessed with anything that might look like a pencil.  Future scholar on our hands?

Did I mention she is waking up early lately?  Well, as a result she struggles to stay awake through lunch.  So cute!

Toward the end of Cameron's soccer season, Lauren really got into watching the game and loudly cheering and clapping for her big brother.  The bonus for her was being outside - ahe loves to be outside!  Minnesota winters might be tough on her.

Kyle is growing like a weed lately.  He is eating nonstop and is just a bundle of energy.  At his 4 year doctor's appointment he measured at the 99th percentile for height at 44 inches and 96th percentile for weight at 44 pounds.  The heart murmur that the doctor noticed last year is gone too!!!

Kyle loves his new big boy bike.  He would be riding all day long if we let him.  He is such a responsible rider and listens so well to instructions and watches for cars.

With the colder weather settling in, it's board game time in our house.  Cameron loves board games and Kyle loves to do whatever his big brother is doing.

Everyday I am blown away by how much love the boys show to their sister.  They truly adore her and would do almost anything for her - well, beside sharing their favorite toys.  They both amaze me.

Cameron's latest trick is building card houses.  He is so fast at them and extremely proud of his work.

Check out Sonoma's latest resting spot - hmmm, maybe she wants to go for a ride.

Cameron, 7 Years!

Hard to believe that our oldest son, Cameron, is now 7 years old!  Where has the time gone?  Just seems like yesterday that he was born and spent his first few days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).  He looked so small and helpless, but now he is a super active, sweet, intelligent, caring, funny 7 year old.  He is such a shining light to our family and we are so very proud of the young man he has become.  To mark his 7 years on this earth we celebrated in a few different ways.

On Thursday, October 7th Daddy took the day off to read to Cameron's class.  Cam was so excited to have this special time with his father at school.

On the big day of October 8th, we had a great family day, since there was no school.  We joked that the school must have known it was Cameron's birthday (a national holiday, of course, and canceled classes!).  We spent the day biking, at the park, bowling, and going out to dinner.  Cameron's present from us was a new bigger (and he says faster) bike.   Kyle inherited Cam's old bike so we have spent a lot of time lately cruising around the neighborhood.

Saturday we celebrated with extended family.  We started with an early morning soccer game.  It was a beautiful and very warm fall day.  Following the game, everyone met back at the house for lunch, cake, games, and presents.  Cameron picked Korean food for his meal - his favorite.  Lauren was of course extremely happy with his choice.

On Sunday, October 10th, he celebrated with his two best buddies, Jacob and Noah.  The boys spent the afternoon at an indoor play center, then enjoyed Happy Meals and cupcakes back at the house.  He doesn't get to see them often, so he was thrilled.  Check out their big smiles:

We are looking forward to see what the next year brings for our sweet son.  We know you will continue to amaze us.
