Christmas 2013

Christmas 2013 did not disappoint the kids.  We had a great time tracking Santa, watching movies, enjoying good meals and desserts, opening gifts, and celebrating with daddy's family (who arrived on Christmas Day from North Carolina).

Family Christmas

We celebrated Christmas with mommy's family a few days before Christmas Day.  We shared some great food, laughed, and enjoyed watching the kids (young and old) open presents.

TKD Belt Test - December 2013

The boys started off their Christmas vacation by testing for new taekwondo belts.  Cameron moved to 1st keup red (red with black stripe) and Kyle to a brown belt.  Way to go boys, before you know it you will be black belts.  Keep up the hard work.

Gingerbread Houses

The kids had a blast this Christmas season creating their own gingerbread village.  Pretty sure more of the candy and frosting ended up in their months than on their gingerbread house.  Immediately after pictures they devoured the village.

Halloween 2013

Halloween 2013 was a bit cold and rainy but that didn't stop the kids from making the round in the neighborhood with a great group of friends and raking in the candy.  One really cute thing the kids did this year was to sing Halloween songs at each house (think Christmas caroling but with different lyrics).  All the neighbors were a bit shocked but loved it.  Our Halloween included a butterfly princess, Snow White, a ninja, and 1920s newspaper boy.  I think their candy will last well into Spring.

If at first you don't succeed

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again goes the old saying.  TKD is a perfect example of that saying.  The boys never gave up during their TKD board breaks in October.  Cameron graduated to a red with white strip belt and Kyle to a blue with brown strip belt.
