Kyle, Two Wheeling

The training wheels are now off.  After just two short nights of practicing, Kyle is riding with so much confidence and pride.  Tonight he mastered balance, starting on his own and stopping.  He loves the stopping.  We still need some work on his turns but think this will come quickly.  Way to go Kyle!!!

Matching Teddy Bears

Late last week, I was talking with Lauren about how Avah's 3rd birthday was coming up soon.  If you remember, Avah is her foster sister.  I asked her if she wanted to send her a card, and she said yes.  She added that we needed to send Avah a present, and then ran to her room to get her favorite teddy bear out and said "Send to Avah".  This particular bear was the one that we sent to Lauren while she was in Korea.  So it was a bear that Avah had seen before.  Funny how kids can put these things together.  So the hunt was on to find a matching bear to Lauren's teddy.  Magically, I found it at the same store I had bought Lauren's bear over 2 years ago.  Hope you love your teddy bear for years to come, Avah!

Easter 2012

Easter was very fun and busy this year.  The kids decided to get an early start and wake up at 5 AM.  The Easter Bunny was very kind to the kids leaving them with baskets that were overflowing with candy, movies, and a few toys.  After the kids enjoyed a few (ok, a lot) of early morning pieces of candy, we had breakfast and soon hit the road to spend the day with family.  We celebrate at Grandma Judy and Grandpa Al's house along with Uncle Dan and Aunt Tina.  The kids loved playing with Dan and Tina's dogs.  We enjoyed a wonderful lunch together and had a fabulous egg hunt.
