December 2009 was wonderful and extremely busy. We were so blessed finally see Lauren's face. Even though she was not with us this holiday season we thought of her daily. We picked out a Christmas stocking for her and bought her first ornament for the tree. We know next year she will be with us and that brings us comfort.
December 12th Cameron went to his friend Noah's birthday party. They bowled at the U of M, ate pizza, and enjoyed cake. Cameron loves to bowl so he had a wonderful time at the party.
We all received our H1N1 shots this month. Cameron and Kyle both received them at the doctor's office but mommy and daddy had to wait out in the cold during the first public clinic since the vaccine became available. The wait was only an hour so that wasn't too bad. Daddy even made the news as a local station did a quick shot of the long line.
Kyle came down with an ear infection right before Christmas. Luckily mommy was able to get him into see the doctor and get him started on medication so he was feeling better by the time Christmas morning came.
We enjoyed a fun evening at our neighbors house on December 22nd. Great food and wonderful company.
On Christmas Eve we tracked Santa's location online and opened a few presents from Mommy and Daddy. We must have been really good this year because Santa brought us so many presents. Some of our favorite gifts this year are the Wii, Legos, GeoTrax trains, Thomas trains, and a marble run.
Grandma Maggie and Grandpa Bill came to visit us from New Hampshire. Unfortunately, Grandma got really sick when she was here so we didn't get as much playing time as we would have liked. We did lots of fun things despite her not feeling well. We of course played with all our great new toys, bowled, ate dinner out, daddy and grandpa went to a Timberwolves basketball game, and mommy and daddy went out on a date. Mommy and daddy went out on December 31st for lunch and saw the movie "The Blindside". They said it was a wonderful movie. Daddy had a few days off of work while they were here.
On December 26th (despite the big snowstorm that happened the two previous days) we hosted Christmas at our house. In attendance were Grandma Maggie, Grandma Bill, Grandma Judy, Grandpa Al, Uncle Steve, Aunt Angela, Uncle Dan, and Tina. We had a wonderful time together and it was great to have so many of those we love around us.
Lauren's legals arrive on December 31st. What a nice way to end the year. With the legals we are able to move onto the next steps in the paperwork process...our I600.
