Lauren's 4th Birthday

On Sunday, June 23rd a very tired little girl celebrated her 4th year on this planet.  Half way around the world, I am sure some other very special people were thinking of this little girl.  I wish they would know how wonderful, smart, special, feisty and beautiful she is.  We are so blessed to be able to celebrate with her and call her our daughter, Lauren.

Following a late night at Uncle Dan and Aunt Tina's wedding we woke up at our hotel in Stillwater, Minnesota.  We began the day with a big family breakfast at the Lowell Inn.  In attendance were Grandma Judy, Grandpa Al, Uncle Dan, Aunt Tina, Uncle Steve, Aunt Angela, and Cousins Cadence and Sienna plus our family of five.  Since it was a rainy day we headed back to our house to continue the festivities.  The kids played, Lauren opened presents, enjoyed lunch and ice cream.  But the day took a turn for the worse when Lauren woke up from her nap and was ill.  We are guessing it was a combination of the late night, little sleep and hot, humid weather.  She spent the rest of the day laying on the couch and napping.  Poor sweet heart! Luckily she recovered within a few hours and was able to enjoy ice cream cake before bedtime.

Happy 4th Birthday Lauren!!!
