In mid October, on a sunny but cold day, we hit the pumpkin patch in search of the perfect pumpkin for each of the kids. Grandma Maggie and Grandpa Bill were visiting from North Carolina at the time and joined us for this adventure. The kids enjoyed a wagon ride out to the pumpkin patch and each searched for their perfect pumpkin. After they accomplished their mission, we visited the small animal farm located on site. They loved petting and feeding the animals. Next up, carving their pumpkins. Each came up with their own design and helped make them happen although most of the messy and knife work was up to the adults. They can't wait until Halloween.
