January 2013 TKD Highlights

January brought with it lots of fun tae kwon do activities for the boys.  They love this sport so much and its such a benefit to them in so many ways.

Cameron participated in his first Hyper Camp on Martin Luther King day (a day off of school for us).  He learned a new form, special kicks, jumps and flips.  He had a blast!

A few days after camp the boys tested for their next belts.  Cameron was going for his purple belt and Kyle was testing for his orange belt.  They passed with flying colors.  Their breaks this time were a basic axe kick.  Kyle even managed to break the board just by looking at it (a talent his master asked him share with others).  In order for Cameron to move out of the beginner level and into the intermediate level, he had to demonstrate all three forms he learned over the last few belts.  He did a wonderful job.  Congratulations boys!
