Springtime - March 2010

The boys showing off their new Vikings jerseys and missing their sister.

Spring came early to us in Minnesota this year and we were not complaining in our house after a long winter. Its so nice to get outside and run and play and see the grass again. Here is a bit of what filled our month of March.

Cameron went to the best birthday party ever according to him. His good friend Jacob celebrate his 7th birthday the first weekend of March. He held the party at Lee's Championship Tae Kwon Do. The staff there did such a wonderful job with the kids. It was an afternoon filled with tae kwon do demonstrations and exercises for the kids. Of course, he loved the cake and ice cream too. He now wants to take lessons there and plans to start this fall.

We got a few projects done around the house...new patio door (one that doesn't leak). We also installed a door downstairs, painted, and installed cabinets in the office area.

Cameron had lots of time off of school this month. Three days in early March for school conferences and a whole week in mid March for Spring break.

Mommy and daddy had a wonderful conference with Cam's teacher. She had so many great things to say about him. So proud!!!

Kyle had his early childhood screening with the school district on March 15th. He did awesome. The woman doing the screening was amazed by his analytical skills. She said he was able to do things that 6 year olds are often not able to do. Again, so proud!!!

The week of spring break we enjoyed lots of wonderful playdates with friends and Cameron had yet another birthday party.

On March 25th, Cameron was complaining that his loose tooth hurt when he was chewing his dinner. So the good brother that Kyle is, said "Let me look". Kyle then proceeded to pull Cameron's tooth out of his mouth. He was so proud to have helped his older brother.

Friday night, March 26th was the Island Lake School Carnival. We enjoyed a terrific night out as a family. Lots of game and good food. The boys came home with a small bag of prizes.

So we are all missing Lauren a lot lately. The boys ask every day when she will be home and if today is the day. They talk about how much they miss her and love her. Mommy and daddy love to hear these words from them. They are going to be the best big brothers ever!
