We spent another week waiting for news on Lauren that did not arrive. We know it will be soon but the uncertainity is hard to take sometimes. Mommy continued her daily calls to the State Department (now sometimes twice a day) but there has been no progress with Lauren's case at the Embassy in Seoul. Hopefully soon one of the operators will say those magical words...her P3 was returned, she made her Embassy appearance, and her Visa has been issued. Then we wait for the big TRAVEL CALL!!!
We tried to stay busy this week and were pretty successful with that endeavor. Kyle began his summer camp program. He attends on Monday mornings which gives Cameron and mommy some one-on-one time. Cameron began attending his program too. He enjoys three days of fun by going Tuesday through Thursday mornings which gives Kyle and mommy some alone time. Both boys love camp!
Mommy finally got her hair cut for the first time since September 2009. She loves it and daddy has taught us well. As soon as she walked in the door, we rushed to her and told her how beautiful she was and how much we loved it. These nice compliments included hugs and kisses. Nice work boys!!!
Friday, June 18th was mommy's date day with the two most wonderful boys. We enjoyed munching on Happy Meals at the park, played at the playground, and then splashed in the wading pool at the park. It was such a fun day! Cameron said it was the best day right behind Christmas and Kyle agreed.
On Saturday we headed to the local bowling alley and enjoyed playing some video games together. Then we headed off to Target to play with all the girl toys and find presents for Lauren's birthday. We hope she likes what we picked out. Later that night we headed to Ann, Mike, Noah, and Ella's house for a cookout and playdate. We all had a wonderful time with great friends.
Sunday was father's day. Daddy enjoyed sleeping in and a relaxing morning. We went to Uncle Steve and Aunt Angela's house for lunch where Grandma Judy and Grandpa Al joined us. Then we ended the day with some grilling. Nice father's day overall.
With a new week upon us there is hope. Hope for the good news that Lauren is ready to join her forever family. We will keep you posted.
