The Long Month of May 2010

May seemed like a very long month in our house. It was busy but we also spent a lot of time waiting.
We started the month by finishing up our garage sale fundraiser. Then the task of getting our garage back in order was a big job. We rewarded ourselves for all our hard work by a family dinner out. If you know us well this is a real treat and not something that happens often in our house.
We welcomed a new cousin into our family. Baby Zoe Pless was born on Friday, May 7th in North Carolina. Aunt Ali, Uncle John and Big Sister Maddox are doing well. We can't wait to meet you Zoe!
We enjoyed a fun Mother's Day cookout at Uncle Steve and Aunt Angela's house. It was so nice to spend the day with them, Uncle Dan, Great Grandma Betty, Grandma Judy, and Grandpa Al.
Miscellaneous things that filled up our month included a trip to the dentist and buying a new dishwasher since our other one broke.
Kyle has become a great artist this past month or two. He loves to draw, color, and write endlessly. In mommy and daddy's opinion is does a great job for only being three years old.
Cameron is finishing up his Kindergarten year. Mommy continued to go into class to help out this month. The kids have come such a long way. One big event was a test run of the school lunch room. Cameron loved it. A few other fun events for Cam this month (outside of school) were Andrew's birthday party, an afternoon at the Children's Museum with Max and Elizabeth, and playdates with Matthew and Liam.
On Friday, May 28th Cameron had his kindergarten graduation program. All the classes performed for the proud parents and diplomas were handout out. Following the program we had enjoyed a lunch of Happy Meals, per Cam's request.

We spent the morning of May 29th with the Woolf family and met Olivia (she was born in Korea like Lauren). They had such good tips for us based on their recent trip to Korea. Thank you!!! We are getting so excited to begin our journey to South Korea to bring Lauren home.
On Sunday, May 30th Grandma Judy and Grandpa Al joined us for Korea Night. Mommy cooked a yummy Korean meal for us all to enjoy. The boys were so excited about it, as they love Korean food. That afternoon while mommy was cooking the boys loved playing in the sprinklers in the back yard. Here they are hamming it up for the camera...

Memorial day was another fun day in our house. We enjoyed spending the day together at the MN Zoo. We haven't been there since Cam was two years old. The boys loved seeing the animals, eating cotton candy and getting wet at the splash pad.

The month of June should be a very eventful and joyous time for our family. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we prepare to bring Lauren home.
