We heard from Jill, our adoption specialist with CHSFS, this afternoon that Lauren's EP (emmigration permit) was approved this week. We're guessing it was done on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 since Wednesday was a holiday in Korea and everything was closed. So you might ask, "What is an EP and why is it so important?" Well, having EP approval basically means that the Korean Ministry has granted her permission to leave Korea and be adopted into our family. Now Lauren will make an appearance at the US Embassy in Seoul and have her Visa Interview (VI), and shortly after we will get our Travel Call (TC). Jill told us to expect to travel in 1-3 weeks! Just as soon as Lauren's paperwork is done at the Embassy we can bring our daughter home. We will keep you all posted.
Oh I almost forgot to mention...today was Mike's birthday. What a wonderful present for our whole family. Happy Day!
