Yes, We Are Still Waiting

Yes, we are still waiting to bring Lauren home. We are not sure why things with her paperwork have come to a halt in Korea but its beyond frustrating right now. Our agency had told us to expect to travel in 1 to 3 weeks but that things were moving fast lately. We are now at 4 weeks into our wait since Lauren's EP was approved and the State Department still has no updates on her case. We have continued with our daily life although Lauren is never far from our thoughts. Here is a bit of what has kept us busy this past week.

The boys have continued their summer camp program. Kyle is no longer so sure about going but says he loves it after her is done. To help him with the transition Cameron and mommy have been staying at the park while giving him his space.  We play tennis, read chapter books, and play at the playground. This seems to comfort Kyle to know we are close.

We have been enjoying the Tuesday afternoon library programs and time outside.

We had another great playdate with our friends Noah and Ella. We all play so well together while the mommies talk.

Friday night, June 25th, we had some excited at the house. We lost power due to a lightening strike that hit our neighborhood. Power was out for about 6 hours.

Over the weekend we had our friends Kristi, Rob and Wendy plus kids over for dinner. It was great to catch up while the kids play.  We all enjoyed some good food off the grill.

The boys got long over due haircuts on Monday. Hopefully this will help keep them cooler over the long hot summer.

The boys have been playing Bionicles constantly lately. Cameron is enjoying playing chess. And Kyle loves to practice his "reading". Yes, as the picture shows he was reading Newsweek and learning all about the oil spill this week.

Hopefully we will have good news to share soon. We will keep you posted.

I can't even imagine how frustrating it must be. I guess It's good that summer is busy so there are other things to do and look forward too:)
