Home One Week

Hard to believe we have been home one week!  Things are going fairly well.  Lauren does great during the day.  She loves to play, explore and HUG.  She has a big personality and it fits well with our family.  The boys have adjusted to their role as big brothers in a wonderful way.  Night is a different matter, but it's getting better.  After the first couple of nights, grieving began to set in for Lauren.  She was waking every 10 to 15 minutes and needed to be held or patted on her back constantly.  The time change of 14 hours and teething didn't help matters.  Every night gets a tiny bit better and we are all learning to read each others cues more.

We have been keeping her world very small for now.  We try to get outside a lot, venture to the park, go for walks, and have lots of play and cuddle time, but just for the five of us.  She is attaching very well to our family.  This week we also celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary.  To mark the day we got Korean takeout and that was a huge hit with all the kids.  Lauren LOVES seaweeed especially!

Hope you enjoy some random pictures of our first week as a family of five.

Lauren is still asleep and the boys wanted to cuddle.

Yummy Korean Food!

Love my bath and chewing on everything.

Snacking in the stroller.

Popsicles on a beautiful summer evening.

Exploring the deck.  Can you tell I am teething?

Trying out my new sippy cup. I love to drink while lying down.

Hello!

Cameron's look of love for Lauren.

Not so sure about this car seat. But as long as I have something to chew on, I'm good.

Park fun!

Love the swings!

Looks like things are going pretty well. I just put down Joel at 8pm tonight...I'm hoping he'll sleep the whole night but I better go try to catch a few hours in case he wakes up again at midnight. =)

She is so adorable-just an angel.
Looks like the whole family is having fun and adjusting well.
Isn't it fun to say "just the five of us."
Hannah still loves the park and swinging is her favorite too. She still likes the baby swings best and wants me to push her--she could do that for hours.
