WE ARE GOING TO KOREA

This morning we got the long-awaited call we have been dreaming of for so long...our TRAVEL CALL!  Or maybe I should say, "travel email".   Here is how our day unfolded:

I woke up very early today, as sleep is a hard thing to come by when you are wondering when your daughter is going to come home to her forever family.  I drank my coffee and tried to think of everything possible I could do to fill my time and not contact our specialist at our agency to ask if today was the day (she gets to work really early, too).  I finally broke down and sent off a quick email.  Then I just sat and stared at the computer waiting for a response for what seemed like forever.  Finally, our specialist's name popped up and I quickly opened the email to read in big pink lettering:  "GO GET YOUR GIRL."  I was completely shocked!  I'm not sure why, since we knew this day was coming for so long.  This email was followed up with a quick chat on the phone with our specialist to discuss travel.  Then the screaming, smiles and dancing began by mommy, Cameron and Kyle.  We called daddy who was already at work and gave him the wonderful news.

Next, we moved on to all the details of booking our airfare and finding a hotel.  We booked our tickets online and it was so very easy to do.  We leave on Friday, July 16th (yes, just a couple of days from now!) and arrive in South Korea on Saturday, July 17th.  We will be returning home on Friday, July 23rd (the day Lauren turns 13 months old).  Finding a hotel, on the other hand, is a challenge.  Tonight as we write this, we still don't have a place to stay but we have someone working on it for us.

Now to finish up that final packing, clean the house, and do all those last-minute things.  We plan on updating our blog while in Korea, so please come along for the ride!

ETA - We have a place to rest our heads.  We will be staying at the Lotte City Mapo.  Not our first, second, or third choice but its a roof over our heads.

DH is good at finding places to stay in Seoul. I'll have him look around tonight and shoot you an e-mail if he finds anything good.
